State of South Carolina--- To all to whom these Presents
shall come, Greeting:
Know Ye, That for and in consideration of six pounds, Six Shillings and 11 d. Sterling Money paid by Eli Langford into the Treasury for the use of this State, We have granted, and by these Presents do grant unto the said Eli Langford, his Heirs and Assigns, a Plantation or Tract of Land containing Two hundred and Seventy Two Acres Situate the district of Ninety Six both sides of Little Eitatoa a Branch of Keowee, having such shape, Form and Marks as are represented by a Plat hereunto annexed, together with all Woods, Trees, Watercourses, Profits, Commodities, Appurtenances, and Hereditaments whatsoever thereunto belonging. To have and to hold the said Tract of Two hundred and seventy two Acres of Land and all and Singular other, the premises herby granted unto the said Eli Langford, his Heirs and Assigns, for ever, in free and common soccage.

To whom all these Presents shall come: Greetings Know Ye, that for and in consideration of twenty shillings and 11 d sterling money paid by Eli Langford into the treasury for the use of this state, we have granted, and by these presents do grant
unto the said Eli Langford, his heirs and assigns a plantation or tract of land, containing four hundred and forty six acres surveyed for him the 12th of February 1789 Situate in the District of Ninety Six on Crow Creek waters of Keowee River bounded North East and North West by said Eli Langford's Land. South East and South West by John Wood Junr Land. All other sides vacant, having such shape form and marks are represented by a plat hereunto annexed together with all woods, trees, waters, water courses, profits, commodities, appurtenances and hereditaments whatsoever thereunto belonging, to have and to hold the said tract of Four hundred and forty six acres of land, and all and singular other the premises hereby granted unto the said Eli Langford, his heirs and assigns, forever in free and common soccage.

Know Ye that in pursuance of an act of the legislature, entitled "an act for establishing the mode of granting the lands now vacant in this state, and for allowing a commutation to be received for some lands that have been granted.” passed the 19th of February,1791; We have granted, and by these presents do grant unto Eli Langford Sr. , his heirs and assigns, a plantation or tract of land, containing three hundred and twelve acres ( Surveyed for him the 19th day of December, 1799) Situate in the District of Washington, Pendelton County on Crow Creek waters of Keowee River bounded by lines running SE NW North and West by Eli Langford land and NE by Joseph Carleton, all other sides vacant, having such shape, form and marks as are represented by a plat hereunto annexed together with all woods trees, waters, water-courses, profits, commodities, appurtenances and hereditaments whatsoever, thereunto belonging. I was fortunate to retire to no more than 40 mi from all 3 locations. The info that I am sending has been several years of researching and talking to 85 and 95 yr olds only one mile from the area. The area is in the Greenville Watershed area and will not change much.
You have posted his deeds 1786 -1802. He began to buy land 30mi East and 2mi over the line into Nc in 1805. ( I have several copies of original deeds.) Some of this land was on the NC/Sc line. I will organize and send later.
