KY Death Cert. for John Calhoun Lankford
I went grave hunting a few years ago with cousin Sgt. John B. and we found the graves of Benjamin & Temperance at Turner Cemetery at Kitts, KY which is in Harlan KY. The 2 graves were surrounded by an old fence which had fallen in on the graves. We could not find any markers for them at that time. Just ouside the fence was an old rusted funeral home maker for their grandson John Calhoun "Henon" Lankford. After we found the graves, I told another cousin, John R. Owens, what we found and he confirmed that the fenced graves were that of Benjamin and Temperance. John told me that Henon used to stay with his grandparents when he was young and he wanted to be buried next to them when he died.
