  Note from Francine: Ethelred is believed to be a son of William Langford, Jr. and Martha King (?) , grandson of William Langford, Sr. and Sarah Jordan, and great grandson of John Langford and Winifred (?) all of Newberry, SC. I Have not been able to confirm this lineage. Some say he is a son of Parish Langford. I do not agree. I descend from Ethelred's daughter, Martha, who married Levi F. Dasher (also a Civil War veteran).
